POCATELLO − With 10 new faces on the roster, it’s hard to tell what the Idaho State men’s basketball team is going to look like as the 2025-26 season plays out.
But there is one thing ISU head coach Ryan Looney thinks he knows about this year’s team: This may be the deepest team he’s had in his seven seasons at the helm.
“I think what is emerging is the depth,” said Looney after a recent practice. “We’ve had a lot of competition from every single position. I think that’s what I’ve been most impressed with so far. We have a lot of different guys who can shoot it. I think we have good length. Our two point guards have been battling each other, and then I think you probably saw watching practice today, our three fives are battling as well.”
