A stretch of a busy Aberdeenshire road has been shut down following a crash between a car and cyclist.
The A93 has been closed eastbound in Banchory following the collision this morning (Wednesday, October 15).
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 11.50am following reports of the crash, with Police Scotland shutting the main road at Hill of Banchory . It is currently unknown when the road will reopen.
The extent of any injuries following the incident is not currently known.

Drivers are currently being urged by police to avoid the area while work continues at the scene, with traffic being diverted in the area.
