The fall bite has been pretty good for just about everything and the weather has been pretty cooperative, although this past Sunday the wind was howling and kept most folks off of area lakes.

Water temps are now in the upper 50s and should continue to drop this week with lows in the 30s and highs only in the low- to mid-50s.

The walleye bite slowed just a bit, mainly after that big cold front that dripped in about 10 days ago, but it’s still pretty good. With more stable weather in the forecast, that will help.

Look for fish in 12-30 feet. Live bait rigs and minnows, jigs and minnows, and jigging raps are all working. Look to lakes Bemidji, Andrusia, Plantanganet and Gull.
