OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — One person is dead following an accident involving a motorcycle on Tuesday night in Owensboro.

Kentucky State Police said a trooper came across the accident just before 9 p.m. along Carter Road near the westbound ramp to U.S. 60. The accident involved a motorcycle and a truck.

The motorcyclist was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where they passed away.

KSP investigators said the motorcycle made contact with the truck and lost control. Identity remains withheld pending family notifications.
