A single dollar likely won’t get you anything at a vending machine or even a pack of gum at a convenience store — but now it can get you a litre of gasoline in Alberta.
Prices for regular gasoline in the province dipped to their lowest since 2021 — an average of $1.20 per litre — with prices as low as $1.01 per litre at some gas stations, according to data from Gas Buddy.
“Alberta is seeing the largest declines of all provinces, down three and a half cents a litre from a week ago,” Patrick de Haan, head of petroleum analysis at Gas Buddy, said.
