Since the injury to wide receiver Horatio Fields, sophomore Perry Thompson has seen a lot more playing time in Auburn’s offense .

In last week’s 20-10 loss to Georgia, Thompson recorded a season-high two receptions for 18 yards. With four total receptions on the season, the Tigers big-body receiver believes he is beginning to scratch the surface to his true potential.

“I feel like it was pretty big just showcasing and showing everybody what I can do on the field because I haven’t really been able to show people what I can do -- but in practice but besides game time, not really,” Thompson said. “Felt pretty good out there. Felt good also playing against a first round, first rounder guy out there at cornerback and be able to get separation and compete with him all game."
