Dog the Bounty Hunter star Duane Chapman says he's feeling grateful after his son, Garry Chapman, has been reinstated as a police officer in Priceville, Ala.

Garry was terminated from his role last month due to his involvement in a fatal high speed chase that claimed the life of a 17-year-old student and sent six others to the hospital.

"Today, God showed up," Chapman wrote in an emotional social media post after the Priceville City Council unanimously voted to overturn the firing on Monday (Oct. 13).

"After many prayers, my son [Garry] has officially been reinstated as an officer — cleared of any wrongdoing in the tragic pursuit that claimed the life of a young man," the TV star and bounty hunter continued.
