Six months after the entry-level iPad and iPad Airs were upgraded this spring, it's now the iPad Pro's turn. Apple just announced its latest M-series chip upgrade, the M5, and the iPad Pro is getting the chip right off the bat . The new iPad Pro arrives Oct. 22, but you can preorder it now.

The iPad Pro was also the first Apple product to get the M4 chip in May 2024 . This time, the upgrade comes alongside new MacBook Pro models with the M5 onboard too, and an upgraded Vision Pro.
