The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office is alerting parents, schools, and community members following a recent spike in the number of THC-infused products being found in the possession of local teenagers.
Over the past several weeks, deputies — including school resource officers (SROs) — have recovered numerous THC-containing items. The items include vape pens, cannabis edibles made to look like candy or snacks, and high-potency THC oils.
Many of these products are disguised in packaging that intentionally mimics name-brand treats in an effort to appeal to minors.
“We are seeing a disturbing trend of high-potency THC items being accessed and used by youth in our county,” said Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden. “These are not just harmless vape pens or candy — they are illegal, dangerous substances
