Lethbridge Police have charged a Calgary man with attempted murder after multiple pedestrians were struck and injured by a vehicle on Friday in the Visitlethbridge.com arena parking lot.

Staff Sgt. Ashlin Snowdon, in charge of the Criminal Investigation Section, told media Tuesday that on Oct. 10 at approximately 6:30 p.m., police and EMS responded to numerous 911 calls reporting that a vehicle had struck multiple pedestrians in the parking lot of the Visitlethbridge.com Arena along and narrowly missed two others.

The driver then fled the area prior to police arrival.

“Three pedestrians sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital in stable condition,” said Snowdon.
