New Delhi: Jharkhand captain Ishan Kishan turned saviour for his team with a gritty hundred against Tamil Nadu on Day 1 of the Ranji Trophy season in Coimbatore on Wednesday. Kishan, who is out of favour with the Indian team, rescued Jharkhand from a tricky situation with a superb knock to take the visitors to 307 for six against the hosts.
Kishan, who is not in the scheme of things in all three formats in international cricket, was unbeaten on 125 off 183, batting alongside Sahil Raj (64 batting) at the close of play.
