BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been charged for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of another man on Busti Avenue this past July, the Erie County District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
Moises Cortijo, Jr., 48, is accused of "being a participant" in the fatal shooting of 35-year-old David Ortiz-Ramos on the 300 block of Busti around 5 p.m. on July 13. Ortiz-Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Tuesday, Cortijo was formally charged with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Cortijo is being held without bail. If convicted of the murder charge, he faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison.
