SEATTLE — As the Mariners eye the pennant and the franchise's first-ever World Series berth, Game 3 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) displayed Toronto's offensive prowess Wednesday night.

Seattle took an early 2-0 lead with a two-run home run from Julio Rodríguez.

The Blue Jays then proceeded to score five runs in the third inning with a brutal sequence of knocks and wild pitches.

A pair of solo shots from George Springer and Vlad Guerrero Jr. delivered the Blue Jays a five-run lead by the fifth inning. A subsequent single and RBI brought the score to 8-2.

Seattle's outlook didn't improve in the innings to follow. An explosive Toronto offense put the Blue Jays up by ten runs through six innings.
