Peter Schmeichel has claimed signing Benjamin Sesko and offloading Rasmus Hojlund was a "weird" decision from Manchester United during the summer transfer window.

The Reds completed the arrival of Sesko, 23, in a £66.26million plus £7.36m add-ons deal from RB Leipzig in August. After a difficult start to life at Old Trafford , the Slovenian has scored in each of his last two appearances and netted his side's second in the crucial 2-0 win against Sunderland before the international break.
