WAVERLY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man from Paw Paw faces several criminal charges connected to a road rage incident that involved a chain saw.
Court records show the incident happened on Oct. 5. Van Buren County Sheriff Daniel Abbott says it started when a driver pulled into a roadway, cutting off 68-year-old Leonard Yonkman.
“The suspect passed the victim pulling a trailer, almost running them off the road, causing a crash,” Abbott said. “The suspect pulled in where the victim went, got out, and grabbed a chain saw out of the bed of his truck.
“The saw wouldn’t start, so he physically assaulted the female victim. He fled the scene, but deputies were able to track him down and arrest him for the incident.”
