Offence from defence. That was lacking last year on the Maple Leafs , but present so far this year with Morgan Rielly , Jake McCabe and Oliver Ekman-Larsson each having scored already.

That’s one way the Leafs might replace the points lost when Mitch Marner left for Vegas. Marner was the overall power rankings leader last year .
