“Oh, boy.”

Wray got the job in Owen Sound that summer and tried to get to know Nansi on the phone. The only problem is that the 18-year-old doesn’t say much.
“I called him and tried to get to know him a little bit,” Wray said. “He was pretty quiet.”
Wray said he saw what others often see when they first look at Nansi on the ice. A six-foot-three, 186-pound winger with some of the best dangles in the Ontario Hockey League. It’s his feet that needed work.
“He had a lot of unique skills. He can stickhandle in a phone booth,” Wray said.
