**Tragic Loss: University Student Dies After Feeling Unwell**

A university student has died unexpectedly just hours after reporting an upset stomach. Joshua Adiefeh, a 20-year-old first-year accounting and finance student at Manchester Metropolitan University, was found unresponsive by his brothers on 28 September. This incident occurred just weeks into the new academic term.

Joshua, originally from Nottingham, had been described as a "super fit" individual. His twin brother, Joel, recounted that Joshua seemed "perfectly fine" the night before his death. However, he began to feel unwell, and symptoms gradually developed. Joel stated, "The night before, everything was perfectly fine. Then as time went by, he started to get sick and that’s when the symptoms started to show. At that point, he wasn’t taking it too seriously because it was all under control."

As Joshua's condition deteriorated, Joel called for an ambulance. However, he was informed that emergency services could not attend their flat and was advised to administer paracetamol instead. Joel explained, "They told me to get him some paracetamol and I had already called my older brother who was on his way. I met my brother outside the [accommodation] and we went up and found him the way he was. He was in a very bad shape, unable to move. He wasn’t responding to anyone."

Despite the arrival of the ambulance and efforts to revive him, Joshua was pronounced dead. Joel expressed the anguish of waiting with friends and family, stating, "Me, my brother and some of his friends were waiting in the kitchen, and after they tried everything, they’d tried everything and there’s nothing else they could have done."

Joshua's sudden passing has led to an outpouring of tributes from friends and family, who remember him fondly. The university community is mourning the loss of a promising student whose life was cut tragically short.
