**Emergency Forces US Defence Secretary's Plane to UK**

A US Air Force plane carrying Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK due to a mid-air emergency. The Boeing C-32A was approximately 30 minutes into its flight from Brussels when a depressurisation issue was detected, prompting the aircraft to descend to 10,000 feet.

Hegseth had been in Brussels for discussions at NATO headquarters. His assistant, Sean Parnell, provided updates via social media platform X, stating, "On the way back to the United States from NATO’s Defense Ministers meeting, Secretary of War Hegseth’s plane made an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom due to a crack in the aircraft windshield. The plane landed based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe."

The flight was diverted to RAF Mildenhall, a US Air Force base located in the UK. The incident highlights the importance of safety protocols in aviation, particularly during high-profile government travel. All passengers and crew members aboard the aircraft were reported to be unharmed following the emergency landing.
