A Simcoe man was in disbelief after winning $100,000 by matching six of seven Encore numbers in the September 20 Lottario draw.

Trent Moz, 28, previously won a free ticket and opted to add Encore for $1, he told officials at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

“I checked my ticket on Sunday morning after the draw while I was drinking my coffee,” he said while collecting his winnings. “I had to scan it a few times to make sure it was $100,000 and not $100. After realizing what I won, I was in pure disbelief.”

He said his dad was also in disbelief when hearing the news.

“My dad looked at the ticket himself and took a moment to let it sink in,” Moz said.

As for the winnings, Moz plans to save and put the money towards purchasing his first home.
