Shillong, Oct 15: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today said that the state has invested Rs 3,654 crores to the education sector, alongside grants-in-aid and other support.
Speaking at a function to inaugurate the Nongkharai Presbyterian Higher Secondary School in Umsohpieng spoke on the progress made by the government in welfare, infrastructure development and human resource development.
He stated that Meghalaya is now the second fastest-growing economy in the country after Tamil Nadu, with consistent growth averaging 10 per cent per year over the last three years.
