On October 15, 2025 at 12:22 a.m., Belleville police responded to a residence in the city’s west end regarding a report of an unwanted person who was refusing to leave and making threats toward the female resident.

Upon arrival, officers located a male on the property who was confrontational and yelling. The investigation revealed that the male was known to the female but was not wanted at the residence. He refused to leave when asked and became increasingly angry.

As a result, Ryan O’Neil, a 39-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with uttering threats.

He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in November.
