POLK COUNTY, Texas — Polk County officials are telling residents of one neighborhood to stay inside while they search for a shooting suspect.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said it was searching for Lee David Strole after a shooting in the Leggett area.

They said Strole should be considered armed and dangerous, and no one should approach him. Anyone who sees him or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement.

According to records, Strole has a violent criminal history, including an aggravated assault charge.
