OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — Authorities have identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on Tuesday night in Owensboro.

Around 8:40 p.m., a Kentucky State Police trooper was patrolling when he found a crash that had taken place on Carter Road near the US 60 Bypass off-ramp.

KSP says the preliminary investigation revealed that 32-year-old Tyler Hamilton of Owensboro was headed down Carter Road on a motorcycle when he failed to stop at a red light and crashed into the driver's side of a pickup truck.

KSP says that Hamilton was ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken to the hospital but passed away from his injuries.

Two people in the pickup truck also had minor injuries, but were treated at the scene.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing by KSP.
