A Milford man who was acquitted of murder in connection with the death of a 17-year-old Fairfield Prep student in 2022 was back in court for a brief appearance on Wednesday to face lesser charges and the judge granted him more time to find a new attorney.
Raul Valle, 20, was accused of killing 17-year-old Fairfield Prep student James "Jimmy" McGrath and stabbing three other people at a house party in Shelton on May 14, 2022.

In July, a jury found him not guilty of murder and first-degree manslaughter and the intentional assault of two other people.
The jurors, however, couldn’t reach a verdict on the lesser charges of reckless manslaughter and assault and prosecutors are reintroducing them.
