Right now, the Caribbean is quiet. The only thing the National Hurricane Center is watching is Tropical Storm Lorenzo, which is fading and not a threat to anyone.

The Climate Prediction Center shows a chance for tropical development in the Caribbean between Oct. 22-28.
Both the GFS (American model) and the Euro (European model) models show a possible system forming in the western Caribbean around that time. Both show it possibly moving off to the east of Florida.
The GFS is a little more aggressive with this system.
The Euro shows a weaker system forming.
Even if that happens, October patterns make it hard for storms to reach Southeast Louisiana. Cooler air and strong high pressure over the Gulf steer tropical systems east, away from our area.
