A Sarnia-Lambton man has been sentenced to nine months in jail for voyeurism for secretly installing a video camera in his ex-partner’s bedroom and recording her having sex with someone else.

While recently imposing the sentence, Justice Mark Poland noted the man was allowed into his former spouse’s home even after they were separated and he abused this trust by installing the camera.

“In my view, that is a highly aggravating breach of trust,” he said.

The discovery of the camera led to a police probe that uncovered a slew of incidents that took place before that. The man faced a total of 18 charges in total.
