Holding a portrait of little Kyleigh, a Chatham mother continues to help others in her late daughter’s memory.
Amanda Haskell, who raised money through a recent raffle, donated $1,130 to the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent on Wednesday.
Kyleigh, who passed away on Oct. 15, 2018, would have been seven years old.
Haskell picks a different charity to assist each year and said the children’s treatment centre is another place dear to her heart, since her five-year-old son, Carson, is a client.
“My son comes here for speech therapy,” she said. “They’re awesome here. They all make him feel comfortable … They’re all really kind and compassionate.”
During Haskell’s first year, she made toiletry care packages for new mothers at the hospital, noting she saw the need.
