PARKE COUNTY, Ind. — A man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly led police in western Indiana on a chase while riding a four-wheeler.
According to the Parke County Sheriff's Department, around 11:50 p.m. on Oct. 14, a deputy was patrolling the area of Melon Road and County Road 700 when a man riding a four-wheeler passed the deputy on Melon Road at a high rate of speed.
Police said the deputy attempted to pull over the four-wheeler, but instead, the suspect sped up. The deputy reportedly chased the suspect to a home on West Kates Lane . Police say the four-wheeler drove through the yard of the home and stopped at the back door.
The suspect reportedly jumped off the four-wheeler and ran inside the home. However, the deputy quickly took him into custody, police said.
