As part of its ongoing push for a federal review of the proposed waste and recycling facility near Dresden, the municipality has submitted additional information to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada.

The IAAC recently asked the municipality for further details about how Ontario’s planning process would review potential environmental and Indigenous impacts.

Chatham-Kent’s response, provided through external legal counsel, stated the project would require several municipal planning approvals under Ontario’s Planning Act, including changes to zoning and the Official Plan, according to a media release Wednesday.
