CVS Pharmacy has completed a deal to purchase 63 former Rite Aid stores.

The drugstore chain announced on Wednesday that it has acquired and is now operating 63 former Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs stores in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Rite Aid purchased Bartell Drugs in 2020.

CVS also acquired the prescription files of 626 former Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs pharmacies in 15 states.

The drugstore chain stated that nine million former Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs customers have transitioned to CVS.

To increase capacity and fill open roles, CVS has hired more than 3,500 former Rite Aid and Bartell Drug employees.
