The 13th annual Turkey Challenge is underway to raise funds and donate food for the Kent Food Bank.

Kent’s Torklift Central, a RV and automotive parts manufacturing, once again is leading the food and fundraising drive that runs through Nov. 16.

Kent Mayor Dana Ralph issued a proclamation for the event during the Oct. 7 City Council meeting.

“This proclamation celebrates the community spirit that Kent’s residents and businesses who work together to uplift their neighbors and provide hope during Thanksgiving,” said Jasmyne Faborito, organizer of the Torklift Turkey Challenge. “We invite everyone to join us in making this year the most successful Turkey Challenge yet.”

Ralph commended the program.
