ST. JOHNS — A woman has been sentenced to decades in prison for driving into a group of pedestrians in Watertown Township, killing two of them, while she was under the influence of alcohol and prescription drugs last year.

29th Circuit Court Judge Cori Barkman on Oct. 15 sentenced Ashley Marie Monroe to 30 to 60 years in prison for second-degree murder and eight concurrent terms of 2 to 5 years for driving while intoxicated causing serious injury. Monroe will get 515 days credit for time she's spent in jail.
