NANTICOKE — The Lower South Valley Council of Governments (LSVCOG) dedicated its new regional fueling station on Wednesday in honor of Joe Yudichak, recognizing his decades of service to regional collaboration and municipal cooperation.

Sam Guesto, president of the LSVCOG, credited Yudichak, a former Plymouth Township supervisor, as the inspiration behind the creation of the LSVCOG.

Guesto said the COG Board voted unanimously to name the new fueling station in Yudichak’s honor.

“Joe Yudichak paved the way for the creation of the Lower South Valley Council of Governments, and he rightfully deserves the honor of having his name forever associated with all the great public works projects being done in the communities of the Lower South Valley,” Guesto said.
