COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - An investigation is underway after authorities said victims reported being shot with paintball guns in Richland County.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday that the incidents have been happening in the northeast area of the county and along Two Notch Road.
WIS later obtained an RCSD report from one of the incidents, which happened at around 8 p.m. Tuesday outside the Journeys location on Town Center Place. The store is located at the Village at Sandhill shopping mall.
A victim told deputies that she was putting her child in the backseat of her vehicle when she had been shot by what she first thought was a BB gun. She then reportedly noticed a pink substance on her and on the ground beneath her.
