Competing at the Athletic Association of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk cross-country championship on Wednesday at Mohawk Park, DuChene won the bantam girls four-kilometre race in a time of 16 minuets, eight seconds. Article content Article content
DuChene is the daughter of Krista, who represented Canada in the marathon at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
How good is the younger DuChene? Good enough to already be beating her mom.
“At the start of the summer, every workout I stayed with her but at the end, (I’d beat her),” Leah said.
Prior to taking up the marathon, Krista was a varsity hockey player for the University of Guelph. Leah currently plays U15 AA for the Anc
