A brand-new apartment building has opened on Bartholomew Street in Brockville.

The four-storey, 52-unit building had its first tenants move in at the start of September, but the property management company held a grand opening event on Wednesday for local officials and community partners.

“We finished the build at the end of August and we were ready to occupy in September, where we had the first 15 people move in,” said Helene Cuadra, owner of ARCA Property Management. “In October we have another 20 or so tenants moving in, and the rest in November and December. We only have eight units left to rent.”

Of the 52 units, about half are studio apartments, with the rest being a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
