LOUISVILLE, Ky. — They raised the walls for a good cause. Volunteers from Wells Fargo and Habitat for Humanity teamed up to build a home in Louisville’s West End.

Kevin Anderson, 32, joined volunteers to work on what will be his first-ever single family home. The walls are going up now.

“It’s really exciting, actually. Really exciting process. Learned a lot. Actually, information overload honestly but it’s pretty great,” Anderson said.

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, he’s lived in Louisville 20 years. He, his siblings and family survived Hurricane Katrina back in 2005. He was 12 years old.

“It was confusing at times, but we stuck together and we got through it,” Anderson explained.
