SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - With a government shutdown continuing into a third week, households around the Suncoast are struggling to budget and missing paychecks.

The United Way Suncoast ( UWS ) and partners All Faiths Food Bank, Caring Collective, Women’s Resource Center, Goodwill Manasota, and CareerSource Suncoast have announced a coordinated effort and organized a resource hub to assist federal workers impacted with food, childcare, utility guidance, emotional support, and temporary/re-employment services.

Those resources are now available in Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties and can be accessed through an online resource hub and the 211 Suncoast Cares 24/7 Helpline.
