Crimes Against Children detectives with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office have charged a former Sarasota County school employee with sexually abusing a local teenager .

The investigation began on August 12, 2025, after Sarasota County School Police notified MCSO of allegations of sexual misconduct involving a school district employee and a student at Booker High School .
