AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) - The suspect accused of killing a retired Auburn professor has been denied bond after gruesome details were shared in a courtroom Wednesday morning.

Harold Dabney III is accused of murdering Dr. Julie Schnuelle while she was walking her dog in broad daylight in Kiesel Park.

On September 6, investigators say a 911 call led them to Kiesel Park - 2300 block of Beehive Drive - where they found two pools of blood near the wood line. That’s where they saw a trail of blood that led them to the body of Dr. Julie Schnuelle - 30 yards back from the walking trail - behind a tree. Her belongings, including her dog, were found about 15 yards away from her soaked in blood.
