Bishop Manogue junior Ella Rawson had the best finish among the Northern Nevada golfers as she finished in a tie for fourth place at the 5A girl state golf tournament, held Monday-Tuesday in Southern Nevada.
Bishop Gorman’s Samantha Harris won with rounds of 75-63 for 138.
Rawson had rounds of 76-67 for a 143. Manogue senior Kalli Locklin, who will golf for Drake University next year, had the next best finish from the north, a tie for eighth (81-66 -- 147).
The final round was cut short by darkness. The tournament was held at Boulder City Golf Course on Monday and at Boulder Creek Golf Club on Tuesday. The 3A and 4A state tournaments were also held at those same courses over the same days.
The 5A tournament was cut to 16 holes on Tuesday.
