DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- A bus driver and Department of Defense contractor in Walton County was arrested after investigators claimed he sexually abused a teen.

Charles Buono was arrested on Tuesday, October 14, and charged with lewd and lascivious molestation. He was booked into the Walton County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

According to the Walton County Sheriff's Office, an investigation into Buona was launched when a professor at a Walton County college reported to the sheriff's office and the campus police that a student was being sexually abused.

Investigators say deputies met with the victim, who gave a "detailed statement" and recordings, depicting sexual contact and "explicit comments" from Buono toward the victim.
