DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) - The suspect wanted in connection with a shootout in Wiregrass Commons Mall over the weekend has been captured.
Dothan Police said they captured Sharief Caesar on Wednesday. He was booked into the Houston County jail with no bond.
Caesar is charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied building.
Police say that on Sunday, Caesar, along with Korion Salter and an unidentified 18-year-old, walked into a barber shop near the Spirit Halloween in the Wiregrass Commons Mall and Salter began arguing with a customer.
According to police, Salter, Caesar, and the person getting a haircut pulled guns, and a shootout began.
The person getting their haircut was acting in self-defense, according to police.
