Two of the Pittsburgh Zoo's five elephants are leaving soon, but they are not going far.

On Wednesday, the zoo said sisters Victoria and Zuri are heading to the zoo's Conservation Center in Somerset County in the next couple of weeks in an effort to improve herd dynamics and prioritize the well-being of the animals. Advertisement

The zoo said the transition will ensure appropriate companionship for elephants at both facilities and also allow for the growth of the herd.
