COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — As the government shutdown continues, one Columbus restaurant is showing its support for both federal and local workers by lowering its prices.

For more than a decade, Thai and Thai Restaurant have served the Columbus community.

This week, the restaurant posted a sign outside its Fort Benning Road location that reads: “In light of the government shutdown, we are pleased to offer a 15% discount on all dine-in and take-out orders.”

A server said the idea came from the restaurant’s owner, who wanted to help ease the strain on workers affected by the shutdown.
