CLEVELAND — A felony theft charge against Cleveland City Planner Kim Scott has been dismissed, according to Cleveland Municipal Court records.
The decision came Tuesday morning — the same day Scott's preliminary hearing was scheduled to take place. Reached by 3News for comment, the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office clarified that it had been asked to review the case, but backed down "at this time" due to "insufficient evidence to present felony charges." However, officials left the door open for the matter to be brought back to court in some fashion.
