FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) - After nearly two weeks of testimony, the state rested its case in the murder trial of Parise Larry Jr. in Fond du Lac County.

The defense also rested its case, calling zero witnesses to the stand but making a motion to dismiss some of the 17 charges that Larry Jr. is facing.

Larry Jr., who was 14 at the time, is facing charges related to a deadly shooting at the Maplewood Commons in May 2023.

This includes First-Degree Intentional Homicide in the murder of Tatyanna Zech.

She was taking out the garbage following a family barbecue when she was struck in the back of the head by a single bullet.

19-year-old Antonio Johnston , who was 17 at the time, pleaded guilty to First-Degree Intentional Homicide in January. He has not been sentenced.
