ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A man is in custody after police said he caused the death of his older sister. Police said the investigation began on Hudson Avenue and lead them to Western Avenue.

Police were called to the 400-block of Hudson Avenue around 8:10 a.m. Wednesday for an unresponsive woman. The 61-year-old victim was found with a significant head injury. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said her 60-year-old brother caused her death before fleeing the scene. He was taken into custody on the 100-block of Western Avenue.

There was a large police presence on Western Avenue Wednesday afternoon while police investigated. They could be seen on the second floor of a building as well as investigating a car nearby.
