PAWTUCKET — The basketball intensity reached far above what the Pawtucket Boys and Girls Club has seen in years.

Jeff Xavier established that energy in an empty gym and had his players diving on the floor in October. The former Providence College and St. Raphael basketball standout hopes that it will pay off during playoff time for his New England Lightning squad.
